Comprehensive Planning & Equitable Outcomes Gallery Opening

On September 7th Charlotte Planning, Design & Development experimented with engaging the community differently. We tapped into an existing event, the South End First Friday Gallery Crawl and used an accessible City-owned facility to foster a high level engagement to raise awareness about the Comprehensive Plan. It featured:

• ​a narrative around the topic of making Charlotte a City of opportunity for all looking at growth and equity,
• interactive and augmented reality maps and data, and
• an exercise of thinking about who is currently not engaged and how might we be more inclusive in our engagement.
