The Annual Report will be published annually and will inform on progress and implementation of the Plan. It is organized into five components:

• Growth at a Glance – summarizes Charlotte’s population growth and new development.

• Charlotte’s Future 2040 Plan Framework – highlights the Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan guiding principles, vision, equitable growth metrics, and goals.

• Our Current Efforts – reports on the Community Area Planning process, 2040 Planning Academy, and Stakeholder Commissions.

• Sharing Our Work and Professional Awards – highlights the conference presentations and awards for the Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan and engagement process.

• A Look Ahead – provides upcoming projects in the next year.

This 2040 Annual Report and the Dashboard will work together to measure the effectiveness of policies enacted based on the Plan.
