Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan Implementation
The Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan was adopted by City Council on June 21, 2022. Following the Plan, the City will implement the policy recommendations to meet the community-driven vision.
The goal of Implementation is to bring to fruition the plan policies, provide annual reporting on the plan metrics and track progress on an ongoing basis. The tracking tools used are the Annual Report and the Data Dashboard.
This section is designed to be used by the community, the City of Charlotte and our partner organizations, as well as elected and appointed officials.
HOW DOES IT WORK TOGETHER
The Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan, Annual Report and Implementation Dashboard work together in a 3-part approach to the Implementation and tracking of progress of the Charlotte Future 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan sets the policies needed to realize the community’s vision. The Annual Report tracks progress on whether those policies have been enacted and highlighting work accomplished on a yearly basis. Lastly, the Dashboard tracks the effectiveness of those policies, by capturing where we are and progress made on-the-ground in Charlotte. Each piece provides ongoing feedback to the others, providing transparent and clear information on progress.
